MINUTES
Meeting of The Foundation for Amateur Radio, Inc.
February 9, 2005

The meeting was held at Fire and Emergency Services building in Landover,
Maryland. Mary Morris, N4TIC,  called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm.

The December minutes were approved as presented. The secretary was absent.
The January minutes weren't available.

The Treasurer wasn't at the meeting, but the treasurer's report was
presented and accepted as presented.

AutoCall - William, W3QX, reported on AutoCall.  The February has been
mailed to 675 subscribers.   David Lane's new format was well received. A
new advertising manger is still needed.  The deadline for the May issue is
15th of March.

Scholarship report - Diane, AA3OF, said 90 applications have been received
for 2005.  Approximately 55 scholarships will be awarded.  Hugh Turnbull,
W3ABC, will continue to manage funds for the scholarship committee.

F.A.R. Fest -The 2005 Hamfest is September 10 and 11.  The Chip, W4PBG, said
HEMARC will  do the test table but needs 2 tables and an easily accessible
site for the testing.

New FAR Representative - Jack Willock, W3NHR, will represent Cheese Hollow
ARS.   The FAR representatives present accepted him as a new representative.

World Radio has an incorrect address in for FAR in their advertising for
FAR.  Mary, N4TCI, will attempt to correct the error.

The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.

The location of the next FAR meeting will be held at the Lee Center in
Alexandria, Virginia.
