DRAFT MINUTES
Meeting of The Foundation for Amateur Radio, Inc.
March 9, 2005

The meeting was held at Lee Center, in Alexandria, Virginia. Mary Morris,
N4TIC,  called the meeting to order at 8:05 pm.

The February minutes were approved as corrected. The secretary was absent.
The January minutes weren't available.

Treasurer, John Chitwood, K3RGB, gave the treasurer's report.  It was
accepted as presented.

AutoCall - William, W3QX, reported on AutoCall.  The deadline for the May
issue is 16th of March.  A number of favorable comments were made about the
February issue.

Scholarship report - John, K3RGB,  said the committee continues to receive
applicants.

F.A.R. Fest -The 2005 Hamfest is September 10 and 11.  34 inside tables have
been sold.  A  FAR Fest meeting will be scheduled in April.

New FAR Representative - none this month.

New Business:  Alexandria Radio Club asked FAR to handle donation for
Alexandria RC's emergency vehicle.  FAR declined, since this would be a wash
transaction specifically designated for the Alexandria Club.

G&G asked that the full page ad the take be reduced from $175 to $150.
After a discussion, Chip, W4PBG. ,moved and it was seconded and passed that
The AUTOCALL publisher be given discretion to set rates for advertising.

Announcements:
	NCAC training is scheduled for April 23.

The meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m.

The location of the next FAR meeting will be held at the Prince George
County Fire Services Building, in the main auditorium.  The address is 6820
Webster St. in Landover Hills, Maryland.
