[FARC] New Website, Update!

Greetings All:

 

First I would like to Thank All of you that have provided me with positive
comments on the new website.  I will continue on until we have some new
folks who feel comfortable in doing the day to day admin of the new website.
As with anything else it is a team effort.  Participation and contributions
of news, photos, and other interesting articles or writings are needed.

 

At the last meeting we did have a short presentation on how to post to the
website but I am sure that it left some dazed and confused.  This is due
primarily to a limitation of no active network connection at our host.  The
only way that it will become clear is to give it a shot.

 

There are two ways to post articles, information, photos, video, and your
writings to the website.  All active members have been set up with their
user level set to Contributor.  What this means to you is that you are able
to submit writings articles and other media for possible inclusion on the
website front page.  The second way to post is to send an e-mail with
appropriate media attached to: "administrator at frederickarc.org".  If you
choose the second method we will be glad to post it for you.

 

Should you like some one on one training in regards to how to post on the
website please let me know and I will schedule some time for you.

 

If there are any upcoming events please provide pertinent information so
that we can get them posted in the calendar.  Please include all relevant
information to include what, when, where, contact information, and anything
else that would be relevant.

 

Please also bear in mind that I am an event photographer and can bring
professional level digital SLR cameras to cover events if needed.

 

Knowing that of the event well before the event is generally helpful.
