I've been
interested in trying Fox Hunting for some time as a way to get kids
interested in ham radio. I've purchased one MicroFox transmitter
(http://www.byonics.com/mf) and some attenuator kits
(http://www.west.net/~marvin/k0ov.htm) so the boys and I can make three
tape measure Yagis. We probably won't be able to do it until school gets
out in six weeks.

Although Jim is right that radio direction finding
would certainly be a valuable service to offer, I have to admit, I
bought the equipment only because it looked like it would be fun to try.

After the boys and I build the tape measure Yagis, maybe we can have a
practice fox hunt during one of the meetings?
