[FARC] Repeater interference

I've read the ongoing discussions from each party and suggest that solving
interference problems takes cooperation and a willingness to investigate the
cause.

Repeater operators understand that conditions change and what was working
perfectly may not be anymore. Certainly, problems that are heard by one and
all are investigated first since it affects the repeater users. Complaints
from other hams about receiving transmissions may not receive the same
attention. But it should.

Being on a mountain certainly has it's challenges. When my 145.77 Winlink
node started picking up 147.195, I called Dave and he immediately offered to
help. Before accepting his help, I tried listening on a Motorola GM300 on
145.77 and the .195 signal was barely heard. While Dave understood that the
problem was on my end better than I did, he was willing to help solve the
("my") problem. His attitude makes this hobby great.

With that said, I have a Kenwood D710 in the car and when driving by WFRE on
Grambrill Park Road, I hear it all. Other radios in the car did better.

Receiver operation of the D710 has been consistent from day one. However, if
all of sudden, it started acting up, I would notify the operators of the
stations I heard as a courtesy to let them know of a problem - understanding
that the fault could be anywhere.

What complicates the issue is that intermod may come from anywhere. Dave
understands this as well as anyone.
