> Additional APRS information
> APRS operations may move to UHF - 445.925 MHz.
> Please let me know if your equipment is not capable of UHF.
Here is a suggestion to all:
If the 445.925 Digis are up and working and are being used, then there will
be announcements placed on 144.39 giving any details. So begin your day and
your drive enroute to the event by monitoring 144.39 for long range info.
If you see announcements there that the 445.925 digis are operational, then
switch to that frequency when you are in range of event (Eastern side of
South Mountain). Establish your operating position and confirm reliable
operation on 445.925 and we will see you there.
If you are in place and unable to see digipeats from 445.925, then report
same on 144.39.
Some of the key sites may have a spare radio also monitoring 144.39 in case
any traffic comes in there. In all cases, make sure that Joe is aware of
how many APRS radios you are bringing.
Bob, Wb4APR
