[FARC] Old radio (tubes okay)

In support of our Rockville Science Day, I'd like to either give away (or
raffle off) a receiver that receives SSB, AM, and CW on the ham bands
reasonably well.  If we do raffle it off, the proceeds can go back to the
donor or to the radio club of his/her choice.

So if you have an old suitable receiver that works and you have no use for
it, consider donating it to a good cause.  The MARC club is a 501(c)3
organization so you can get a tax deduction if that is interesting to you.  

Another option is to donate a transceiver with a defective transmitter.  If
it's 12 volts, I'll throw in a power supply.

If you think this is a stupid idea ( and it wouldn't be my first), all I can
say, is that it doesn't hurt to ask.
