As many of you know, I'm pretty involved in APRS, and somewhere in
APRS world, someone got the idea to try and pass APRS packets from one
end of the Appalachian Trail to the other.

We won't be using the standard APRS frequency, we'll be using 144.34
instead. That way our long distance packets won't add QRM to the
regular network and a clear frequency.

While it will be a plus, you don't need an APRS program to monitor,
any packets you hear on 144.34 are almost certainly going to be from
the golden packet attempt, so any rig/tnc and a terminal will do.

Here is the important part of the schedule:

1200 to 1300 Golden packet attempts from both ends only (using
HOP7-7,HOP7-7 paths)
1300 to 1400 AT DIGIPEATER Station-to-station messaging only (using
HOP7-7,HOP7-7 paths)
1400 to 1500 All other AT hikers and AT stations
1500 to 1600 Any other APRS or packet stations in range

Here is a list of participating stations:
SPRNGR-1, Springer Mtn, GA
CLNGMN-2, Clingman's Dome, NC
ROAN-3, Cloudland Mtn
