Hi Anthony,

I hope to see you at the hamfest!

>From most parts of the panhandle you can reach the 147.06 and 146.73 2
meter repeaters here in Frederick. There is also the 147.255 repeater
in Martinsburg, and another in Jefferson Co that I can't remember.

The coax you are re-using might not be what you want for ham radio, it
will likely be a mis matched impedance as most broadcast audio/video
works at 75 ohms. I don't know for sure, but you'll want to use 50
ohm coax. What you have shouldn't be a problem at low power. I'm
sure there will be a vendor or two selling coax at the hafest. I sure
hope so, because I need some.

If you have an HF radio, don't forget about 10 meters - even though
there are few sunspots, this is the season for 10 meter sporatic E -
there have been quite a few stations on recently.

You may have heard the Frederick County Amateur Radio Emergency
Service net at 7:30pm. It can be heard on the 147.06 in Frederick and
the 146.745 from Berkerley springs Wv. They are linked after 7pm. I
was operating the net from the Frederick Amateur Radio Club station
with the call K3ERM.
