Here's an item from Rolan W3FDK on a discount store just off the "Golden
Mile" in Frederick. I think there's a new Aldi grocery store opening up
in the same strip of stores, so you can satisfy your need for food as
well as for inexpensive tools with a single stop.

The picture referred to in Rolan's email, by the way, can't be uploaded
to the FARC reflector, but it showed an array of spring clamps in
various sizes, as used by woodworkers for gluing stuff and by us
non-woodworkers to keep our potato chip bags closed. Rolan's
description of the mini-mini speakers speaks for itself.

Dear all,

Each of these items in the packages was $1 each at a store called
DEAL$, it is where Shoppers Food Warehouse used to be on HillCrest St.
just south of 40W on the Golden Mile. There is construction being done
on a couple of buildings there but you can drive between them to get to
the store and I think you get there from east bound on U.S. 40 of the
Golden Mile.

These were in isle 8. I got them because the clamps should make very
handy tools for temp installing antennas/cables or whatever for ecomm
work and the little speakers with the 3.5mm stereo should work great for
data cables. Each of the little speakers has 2 Phillips head screws that
you can seperate the unit and get to the little wires that are attached
to the speakers so ohming them out should tell you the gnd, tip and ring.

Of course they obviously can be used as speakers.

Anyway, there was a bunch of other stuff there one may be interested in.

Take care,
