Bob -
I have never personally used it with a Kenwood rig but
looking through the Deluo GPS web site I did find that
it can be ordered in a bundle that includes an adapter
for the Kenwood D700A and D7A
(http://www.deluoelectronics.com/customer/191-Deluo_Universal_GPS_w-Adapter_for_Kenwood_D700A-D7A,_12-24_V_(Bare_Cable)#).
I also located it on Universal Radio's site. It also
looks like byonics now sells a byonics branded GPS can
be used with an optional D700/7AD adapter (GPS $69,
adapter $25).
The fact that the GPS worked from within the trunk
stunned me. The GPS was in the back window but I had
moved it into the trunk for some reason. I noticed
one day that I had never moved it out it its original
location and since Joe (NE3R) has seen me driving all
around Frederick it looks like it picks up enough of a
signal for a decent position fix.
Thanks!
