SENATE HEARING ON SB 68 THIS WEDNESDAY
Our bill to restrict the banning of antennas by newly formed Homeowners
Associations will be heard on Wednesday, Jan 31 by the Senate Judiciary
Committee sometime between 2 PM and 6 PM. If you can make time to sit
in the audience in support of our position, we would welcome you to be
there just prior to 2 PM. Suggest that you park at the park and ride on
Rowe Blvd and take the shuttle bus. For information about the bill

SPECIAL FREE UPGRADE SESSIONS BY LARC AND BARC!!!
On Saturday, February 24, the Laurel Amateur Radio Club, Inc. Volunteer
Examiner team, coordinated by the LARC VEC will hold a special paper
upgrade session for amateur radio operators who have completed the
General and/or Extra Class written license exam. The certificate must
be dated no earlier than February 24, 2006.
Please bring with you your current original license, your original
Certificate of Successful Completion Exam(s) indicating the credit(s)
earned and a photo ID.
The Session will be from 9 AM until 12 Noon in a room at the Laurel
Municipal Swimming Pool.
Talk-in on the 147.225 repeater (tone will be off) or 147.54 simplex.
DIRECTIONS:
>From Baltimore:
Take 695 (Baltimore Beltway) to I-95 South towards Washington, exit on
Route 216 (Laurel Exit); continue to second traffic light, turn right
on Main Street. Follow Main Street until it becomes a dead end. The
pool will be located on the right.
>From Washington:
Take 495 (Washington Beltway) to I-95 North towards Baltimore; exit on
Route 198 towards Laurel; continue on Route 198 for approximately 2
miles, make a left on 7th Street (Seven-Eleven is on the corner); at
traffic light, turn left onto Main Street. Follow Main Street until it
becomes a dead end. The pool will be located on the right.
>From Baltimore-Washington Parkway:
Take Route 198 Exit (Laurel); Follow Route 198 for approximately three
miles, make a right onto 7th Street (Stanley Memorial Library is on the
corner); at the traffic light, turn left onto Main Street. Follow Main
Street until it becomes a dead end. The pool will be located on the
right.
BALTIMORE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB FREE PAPER UPGRADE SESSION
Also on Saturday, February 24, the BARC VE team, coordinated by the
LARC VEC, will hold a paper upgrade session from 1 PM until 3 PM. See

BARC FREE MINIFEST
The BARC FREE Minifest Jan 31 from 3 PM to 9 PM at Maryland State
Fairgrounds will be in the 4-H ARTS Building. Admission and vendors
