[FARC] Disaster Relief Presentation at FARC Feb. Meeting

All,
The Frederick Amateur Radio Club's February meeting will feature guest 
speaker Alan Caho, KA3DYL.  Mr. Caho is Director of Disaster Relief 
Ministries for the Blue Ridge Association, Baptist Convention of 
Maryland and Delaware, MD/DE Recovery Unit 1.  He will talk about the 
Southern Baptist Emergency Amateur Radio Service (SouthBEARS) 
organization, some of their recent activities, and the role the 
organization plays in the larger Homeland Security and Incident Command 
System structures. 

The meeting will be held on Monday, Feb. 19th at 7:00 PM at the 
Frederick County Animal Control facility on Rosemont Ave. across from 
Fort Detrick.  Club business discussion will be deferred until after Mr. 
Caho's presentation. 

SouthBEARS is very active in Amateur Radio support to emergency response 
and relief activities, so the experience and insights Mr. Caho can share 
are sure to be both informative and interesting for any Ham currently 
involved with or interested in our Frederick County ARES and RACES 
activities.

FARC member or not, ALL are welcome to attend.  See you on Monday.
