Hello!

In reference to Saturday's joint Operation Deep Freeze exercise, Exercise
Coordinator Jim Edmonds, asks that as Amateur Radio operators check into the
main exercise nets on 3925 kHz and 7237 kHz, to please "report the total
number of people at their location. This includes Red Cross workers, EOC
staff.anyone having anything to do with Deep Freeze '07."

If you are just one operator at your home location, please report that as
well. Jim writes, "I would like to get a count of the total number of
people participating in Deep Freeze '07. I think that this is a very
important detail to include in our After Action Report."

As an alternate option, you may also report to me (via sewald at arrl.org or
wv1x at arrl.org ) the number of participants at your operational locations
(even if it's just you at your home station). Please report to me via
e-mail after Saturday's exercise, and I'll collect and forward the
information for an After Action Report. Again, the e-mailed information to
share would be you call sign, and the number of people involved with
Operation Deep Freeze at your location. (If your location is other than your
home address, that information would be helpful to have in the e-mailed
reports.)

This way, if some participants of Operation Deep Freeze don't get a chance
to check into one of the main Deep Freeze nets on 3925 kHz or 7237 kHz, but
are participating or monitoring the exercise by way of other local ARES,
RACES, NTS, SKYWARN or other nets, they would still get counted.

After the event, I would also welcome any written summary reports or
photographs of Amateur Radio operators involved Operation Deep Freeze, 2007.
Thank you and best wishes.

73,

Steve, WV1X
