[FARC] FARC Meeting Reminder - Monday 8/20/07

Don't miss the August Frederick Amateur Radio Club meeting tomorrow:

- Monday August 20th 2007, 7:00 PM, at the Independent Hose Company on 
Baughman's Lane.

The main topic will be a presentation by Jeff KB3FIO, the FredCo ARES 
EC, on NTS traffic handling.

And as usual, there's plenty of Club business to discuss before Jeff 
does his NTS presentation. 

Last, but not least, Bill KA3HJC plans to have his homebrew short-boom 
6m beam antenna on hand for anyone interested in having a look and 
hearing about his experience in putting it together.  The FM version of 
this antenna was featured in last month's QST antenna issue.  Bill, with 
some help from the author of the QST article, has modified it for use in 
the SSB portion of the band, and will have the new specs available to 
pass along to anyone interested.  The beam may be too big to safely 
bring into the meeting room, but Bill plans to have it available in his 
truck on Monday for a look-see.
