Kirk,
Yep, I had to get a usb to serial adapter and then install the software so
the usb port thinks its a serail port for my portable computer which is what
I use on the packet.
I am sure your unit has plenty of commands to use once you get it going. I
wish I could give you some advice on how to set it up but I will download
the ts-2000 manual and see what it says. Thats what I did when I looked for
the serial port on the back.
I got my usb to serial cable at Best Buy I think it was and it had a cd with
it to install the serial drivers. It doesn't make any diff where you get it
from as far as I know, they are all good units and reliable software to make
the usb look like a serial port.
Let me know if I can be of any help, I don't know if I can or not but keep
me in mind anyway if you have questions.
Take care,
Rolan
