Members and friends of MADXRA (and any others who are interested) are
welcome to participate in this FREE class.  The class is especially
convenient for those who have to endure the evening drive north on
I-270.  Just set aside one night a week to relax for some dinner and
then work on getting your upgrade to general.  Imagine how much more
enjoyable the I-270 commute will be after your updgrade, when you can
operate mobile on HF as well as VHF/UHF.  73, Fred K3CSX.

ENROLL IN GENERAL LICENSE CLASS BY MARCH 24

MARC is offering its spring course, "Obtaining Your General Class
License" which will include morse code instruction. The class will meet
on Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, April 7 through May 5 at
Gaithersburg High School, Room C-2. Exams will be administered on May 12
by the Laurel VE Team. The text, which costs about $15.00, is "General
Class License Manual", Fourth Edition.

**NOTE**  We need 10 students in order to run the class.  Anyone who is
interested in the class should contact Rocky KC4UXO (301-216-5210) or
Peggy K3PJ (301-330-0027) by March 24 to sign up for the class.
