[FARC] FIELD DAY @ Carroll County

All FARC members,

We are invited to attend 2002 FIELD DAY activities in Carroll County.
"FREEDOM PARK" near Sykesville is the location this year.

Saturday through Sunday JUNE 22 & 23
1800 UTC Saturday through 1800 UTC Sunday (2:00 PM local Saturday thru 2:00
PM local Sunday)

All FARC members are welcome.  If planning on being there Saturday around
6:00 PM, please consider bringing some picnic-style food as a Field Day
Picnic is scheduled.

I70 EAST TO ROUTE 32 NORTH.  ABOUT 5 MILES TO THE SOUTH BRANCH OF PATAPSCO
RIVER.  ABOUT ANOTHER 1/2 MILE TO TRAFFIC LIGHT AT RAINCLIFFE ROAD.  RIGHT
ONTO RAINCLIFFE ROAD FOR 1/4 MILE TO ENTRANCE OF FREEDOM PARK.  FOLLOW ROAD
TO END;  YOU ARE THERE!



One cannot find more Amateur Radio activities in one place, at one time with
the possible exception of DAYTON HAMVENTION!  There are scheduled to be 7 or
8 complete Ham stations-- operating continuously from start to finish, each
and every one trying to have HAM FUN while make as many 'contacts' with
other Ham radio stations as possible.  VHF, HF40-meters, HF80-meters,
HF20-meters, CW, PACKET, SATELLITE, PSK31, etc.  Those stations not
operating on GENERATOR POWER operate on Solar Power.

Come out and see it in person!


We should all be recovered (enough) from our Father's Day HAMFEST, so please
consider making a visit to FIELD DAY for some serious Hamming fun.
