Rob,
At this time we live out in Kalama, WA, but I am still interested in
what is going on back at the old homestead. Never know when we
may move back, and at the same time I have been planning on the
purchase of a Raspberry PI, to use to set up a FPAC switch here
in Kalama, and link it back to the FPAC network in Florida. I am
also interested in doing HSMM work out here and of course doing
links back to the old stomping grounds. So I would of course be
very interested in following what is going on, I also do some work
with Free Space Optical, and believe that holds some interesting
potential, the problem back in FL was getting more interest in that
spectrum for communications, more people do not think about the
use of the IR and visible spectrum for communications, but it can
most certainly be put to use as part of a HSMM network for short
haul jumps from a few meters to easily a couple of KM, and if you
select the right wave length, you can go even more distant.
So that is where I am both location wise and interest. If I can be
of any help, please say so.
