This is not a random spam email, I received your email address from Bud Thompson N0IA as he thought you might be interested in joining us.
Below is a copy of an email I sent to my HSMM group,
Please let me know if you are interested in joining or continuing to be involved in some capacity.
If so, also let me know what FADCA section you are in and your involvement level.
Please read on below
Thanks - Rob KS4EC

First let me say that I am sending this to a large group Bcc: to hide any email addresses that might not want to be shared.
A couple of weeks ago I heard about an organization called FADCA <https://us-mg204.mail.yahoo.com/neo/www.fadca.org> , the Florida Amateur Digital Communications Association. They were formed many years ago to coordinate Packet frequencies and networks around the state. They have since dwindled away to just a few members.
It is a shame because I think packet still has a place in EmComm for text messages. I also think HSMM and many other digital modes need statewide support to grow.
Please visit their website at www.fadca.org <http://www.fadca.org/> for more information on this great organization.
During the meeting I was informed that they are considering disbanding. I asked them for a couple of weeks to get together a plan to save the organization and rework their mission to include Packet, HSMM, and all things digital in Florida. They have agreed, I need to get a plan together ASAP.
I am willing to coordinate this effort but need help.
I need to know if any of you are willing the help out and be on the board, and I need a list of all interested parties in any of the 8 regions as laid out on their web page at www.fadca.org <http://www.fadca.org/>
I need to try to find at least one person for each of the 8 regions.
If you just want to be involved but not a director let me know that also.
If you all can get back to me ASAP with names, calls, locations, and interest level, I will compile a list and start putting the plan together for submission.
Please indicate if you want your email to be on the public list.
Time is of the essence as we need to have a new board in place and file the corporation paperwork by May 1st.
Thanks, and please reply to me directly at KS4EC at att.net with any comments.
