Constructive discussion is most welcome, discussion from this other
person has only been criticism of everyone that did not have the same
view as he did, just going back a couple of years of emails, it does not
matter what it was ROSE, Telpac, FPAC, or Winlink it was not welcomed.

If it is digital we should accept all protocols, not just one.

And yes a high speed network is the way to go, but it will be limited to
the financial support it receives. It will always be 1200V/9600LUHU
unless there is a means of purchasing or building our own, I do know
that there are 19.2 and 56k packet systems being used presently. I have
a 7/800 that does 53k in a handheld sometimes faster than a sprint card.
I would only use the INET for management and message handling I would
never rely on it to be the main support considering most don't have INET
at the towers. Prime example was Hurricane Charlie taking out all of the
fiber distribution, and all the ones that still lived ran out of battery
power.

I just don't believe we can finish or improve a state wide network on
this statement:

> Complete ISP wireless solution for under $100 that can replace radio's
and TNC, what heck are we doing still using TNC.
>If our HAM communities would get smart and move the HIGH Speed Wireless
back bones then there no reason at all to even consider using the
outdated mode we use today. We could get rid of the milk crates with
radio's tnc and work straight from a laptop with a wifi connection.
