There are a large number of "remastered" Knoppix distros.
Many in the teaching profession have adopted the Knoppix package as the
way to get their Subject to their students w/o the student having to
dedicate a box for the course. As a Live CD operation it is well suited
for this task. I also believe that it is also well suited as a basic
source for installing a system for our specific cause.
As Jack & Chuck have pointed out... there is too much un-needed "stuff"
included on the present FADCA CD. I started that process with the
original remaster and removed approx 200 Mb of "stuff". I put that
process on hold when it appeared that Jack's work on orlando would give
us a better basic system. Once we get the basic system set we need to
complete the "boil-down" process.
