Yes, this is one of the problems with Knoppix, it changes the kernel a lot,
and things do not slip nice and clean across changes, I have been finding
that out a lot. Indeed if you get to reading real deep in the Knoppix docs
you will find that the main thrust is as a live CD (which is does VERY well)
What we need to do is probably look at getting all of these stablized and
once done start looking at how to make it more generalized.
