Charlie, you have too much time on your hands. Go fix some copiers.
Is there not enough to do in Dummellon these days?

Really, you are commended for your efforts. BTW, Are you still using your
sunco address
On my server? Lily never has used hers. Do you want me to delete hers?

Later,
Dave

Subject: [FADCA] Linux FPAC on CD - status report

I have successfully re-mastered the Knoppix AFU (version 3.7) CD and have
been reducing the ISO package. The original ISO was approx
698 Mb in size. With the added ax25 packages it went over 700.
This makes it too large for a CD!

The goal was to reduce the size of the ISO image so that it would fit onto a
CD. I set a target of 650 to make it fit onto the old CD-RW disks that I am
using. After dumping Open Office, Mozilla, SAMBA and a bunch of "other
stuff" I got it down to a 586Mb image. I burned that to a CD.

The burned CD boots & contains the ax25 modules and the FPAC, Telpac and FBB
BBS files. It should install to HD w/o any pbm, but I lost the ax25
configuration script somewhere in the process.

Once I have a CD that boots "live" and has ALL the needed files I'll install
it to a HD and see what havoc that will cause.
