these are valid and indeed are a part of the reasoning behind moving to linux
it is a lot easier to admin remotely. Indeed I rarely go to my switch which is
about 300 ft from my home, I ssh in and do work on it. Most of the time I can
go in and do all I need remotely, a termnal is a terminal regardless of the
location, so if I can do it from the command line on the local console I can
do it on a consol over a remote access. The only thing I can not see is the
TNC, and there are ways around that, either grabbing pictures of it or bringing
the signal lines to the parallel port and reading the port status in order to
see which lines change.
