Yes that is what allows for the direct connection, if you octothorp it out
even if it is in the ax25d.conf file you can not do a direct (at least my
system) to it, but if you put it in as a app under FPAC it will allow direct
connects with no problems.

I am actually wondering if it is needed in the ax25d part since fpac seems
to be handling all of the functions. I thought about octothorping it out in the
ax25d.conf file in order to see if anything changed, but have not done so
yet.
