I am closer to making that first Re-master. It takes a good deal of 
system setup before you even think about the changes you want to make.

I spent most of the weekend worping a system into a Remastering 
configuration. I have all but one of the five needed partitions setup.

The partition which holds the "new" system is done, but has a funny 
glitch. After I set-up the ax25, FPAC & TELPAC I found that I could no 
longer access anything outside my computer. After about four hours we, 
my son got dragged in on the problem, realized that the rose port had 
snagged the ip address for the dns/gateway server.

Does anyone know how the rose port decides it's ip address? I see that 
my system @ work has snagged the same address, 192.168.0.1. There isn't 
a problem here because we use another sub-net.
