Hi John
I am running PortMapper and if I hook up to the windoze computer I can 
connect using alpha addresses with no problem.
The problem is getting it to go through the linux box to the outside world.
I'm sure there is something in the linux setup that isn't allowing the 
alpha ip to go through but it is allowing numerical ip to go.
