Dave,
You should join the FPAC Linux list at f6fbb.org, we have been having quite
a bit of discussion, and indeed Bernard has some ftp sites for pulling down
code that he has made some changes to in order for us to test, and also
to take care of the problem you are seeing. Several of us had problems
with compiling under Knoppix.
You need to use the 3.25 source, that has the latest and greatest unless
you go to the ftp sites.
A quick note to Bernard will probably get them directly from him
his address is

He also has cleaned up 3.25 for use on 2.6 kernels, we can use all
the help we can get.
