FADCA Awaken!

This is a harbinger for those building the network to support EMCOMMs.. In
our network plans, there needs to be more than one Telpac node spread around
each LAN in order to not miss one or two that might be down for what reason,
even if only temporary. Telpac nodes are simple devices requiring only a
TNC, radio, antenna, computer and internet connection (24/7 or dial up.)
Telpac nodes can be at ham's QTHs, a cooperative business, firehouse,
anyplace where a reasonable antenna height can be obtained. Telpac nodes
can also be used as digipeaters to help extend coverage around the LAN when
the main switch is down.

Don't be complacent - EMCOMMs may be needed anytime, not just during the
work week when it is easier for Emergency Management, and not just on the
weekends when it is more convenient for hams!

See a related posting that I'll make next.
