Hi All
It is GREAT to see so many messages on the FADCA list. Keep it up.
I do have three things that I would like to point out.
1, There have been several messages rejected because you used a email
address other than what you have signed up with. I understand about using a
@arrl @amsat, @yahoo as a re mailer.
The problem comes in that you don't have these calls registered on the
list. If you have any alternate addresses that you use, you can sign up on
the list and just check off "NO MAIL" and the list won't send any mail to
that address. This way you can still send your message out using that "alt"
address and they won't bounce.
2. Another problem is if you do a BCC: to a message and also send it to the
list it will be rejected right away as spam. This is to keep the spam off
the list. I think they do a great job of keeping the spam down on qsl.net.
It can be a pain to have to make sure it follows the proper format but in
the long run it is well worth it.
Also don't send out a message with a bunch of addresses either in the TO
field or CC. I have it set to 25 now so that shouldn't be a problem any
more but it was at one time.
3. To make the messages easier to read please put your reply at the END of
the message or in the body of the message it's self. It makes it real hard
to follow a thread when you have to go to the end of a message and then
scroll back and forth to work your way back to the top to read it all.
As long as the message stays below 40k there should be no problem with the
size of the message.
It is good to see that you do change the topic every once in a while as it
changes. Thank you for that.
Thank You and enjoy the list and lets keep FADCA growing and the messages
coming into the list!!!
