By the way - Farallon Electronics in CA, the US distributor for the
$630-$1100 SCS PTC-II Data Terminals is loaning me a PTC-IIe with a packet
module for the presentations in Duval/Clay counties March 23 and the State
EOC March 27th.  N4KOX's new ICOM 706MIIG will be available, so we'll have
PacTOR 3 on HF and full radio control with the Airmail program.  If KD4MOJ
can get a Telpac node installed we'll have a great HF/VHF demo.

Earl and Rudy-

Thanks for the invite to make the presentation on Digital Messaging in
Support of EMCOMMs at the State ARES meeting in Tallahassee March 27th.
We'll plan on starting sometime after 1400 hrs and take no more than an hour
plus any extended Q&A if any.  This time will cover power point
presentations and HF and vhf demonstrations.

Rudy:  Who can we contact to coordinate HF and vhf antennas and a computer
to large screen projector?

Charlie N3PCC and I will travel to Tallahassee Friday March 26 and stay the
night.  We can be available in the afternoon Friday to check out antennas,
etc, if that is indicated.  For the attendance count, Charlie and I are not
on any list from Seminole or Volusia county, but I know our EC Keith KF4BXT
from Seminole County ARES has been making a list of those who will be
attending.

Russ Oder, N4KOX from Orange Park will be meeting us there.  It is likely
Doug Ferrell KD4MOJ and/or John AD4DO both from Tallahassee may also
attend - I'll contact them to see what their plans are.

The Florida Panhandle is FADCA District 8 including Bay, Calhoun, Escambia,
Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison,
Okalossa, Santa Rosa,  Taylor, Wakulla, Walton, and Washington counties.
Doug Ferrell KD4MOJ is the FADCA Director of District 8.  He can use all the
help he can get as there is virtually no coverage on vhf on the Layered
Network west of Gainesville.

I am looking forward to the meeting.
