MSYS forwards just like John mentioned. It reads the hierarchal address from
left to right and it forwards on the first part that it recognizes. On MSYS,
I can type the command PF which stands for part forward and then include the
argument. For instance, if I type PF N4XEO, my system will then show me how
it intends to forward any personal  message to N4XEO. If it comes back
blank, I will need to set up a description in one of the partners I forward
with to pass this traffic. I can do the same for zip codes or state
abbreviations. It is a great tool for figuring out why a message will not
forward out or go where I want it to go.
