I agree about not running windoze at a remote site. Linux is the best
answer for a remote site.
The only reason to have the availability of having fpac or thenet or
flexnet included are for the few sites that are co located where people are
all the time. This comes into place for example of Doug just setting up a
switch at his work place and having to have the second computer there now.
I'm another example with my switch. I agree that it wouldn't be something
that we would want for everyone to have a switch. This would hurt the
network in the long run. On the other hand, being able to do it all in one
box might give us a switch where someone might be running a bbs and have a
good location and not wanting to run another box.
