Hmm, that is not a good omen, I refuse to install it. MS has sent me updates
and the last ones screwed up my VPN connection, it went from needing to
be manually started and then challenging me for password and login to
firing up automagicly as soon as a connection was detected, no questions
asked, boy would that be good had this thing fallen into the wrong hands.
Oh yes SP2 touches your IP stack, not sure if it effects you or not but you
no longer have access to raw sockets if I remember correctly also you
have only a limited number of TCP streams available (either 8 or 10 either
way I would be exceeding it on any given day too many times to have to
deal with it.) so a lot of things that happened fast will now happen slower
as your apps can not open streams and execute when they hit the TCP
stream roof.
I just did a dual boot on this machine and now I do all I can under Linux in
order to get away from all of the common windows issues, only do mapping
and necessary work software under windows now. I have had two virus
issues in two weeks, just got tired of it.
