I think that this was where the NOS systems were going, if memory works
properly, TNOS, JNOS and all of the others actually took a SMPT engine
and wrapped a amateur radio app around it, that is why they can all do
SMTP without problems and have done SMTP <> Amateur BBs translation for
years.

But the old BBs system has been resiliant, but it is time to move on to
a common standard, it should be the same for us.
