[FADCA] Sound card Packet, could help stir interest!

Dale,
This is another reason why I want to get the LINUX FPAC stuff up
and running, there is a whole boat load of "soft modems" for
sound cards for LINUX, that would reduce the nee for TNC's at
switch sites also, the Europeans have been having very good luck
with these soft modems, indeed most of the best code appears to
come from that side of the pond, but there is a second reason,
unlike us I guess there is still not much flat rate wide band
connectivity over there so packet holds people's interest more
because they can not spend hours and hours on the computer and
still pay a fixed amount like we do here. This may change as
the ISP's have to really start showing real world income, and
start figuring that they need to charge more for internet in
order to keep share holders happy. I see the providers in this
country are starting to look at all kinds of schemes to get
more $$ out of the average internet user.
