[FADCA] Chance Meeting With John Fleming.

Through happenstance I met John Fleming (state EOC guy) yesterday at the =
Seminole County EOC. I was there working on the County's laptops for =
packet and he was there visiting after having been at the National =
Hurricane conference in Orlando.

We had only a short, but right-to-the point visit. He will welcome a =
presentation by FADCA at the SEDAN meeting in Tallahassee on May 4th. He =
has all the computer-to screen projection and access to HF and vhf =
antennas that will be needed. I asked for an hour which should include =
the formal presentation and at least get us started with an on-the-air =
demo.

Before we got that far, he rather quickly brought up some old "they =
said, he said" garbage from history, and was concerned about how that =
had initially gotten out of hand. We just as quickly agreed that sort of =
thing does more harm than good and that we all need to move along toward =
a single goal, rather than dwell on who said what to whom five or seven =
years ago.

In that light - I caution us all to be sensitive to what we might =
include in an e-mail between us or to anyone. We have an opportunity to =
have our day in court and may be able to get a new spirit of cooperating =
going.=20

I know that Tallahassee is a long drive for most of us - but I hope as =
many as possible can make the meeting.
