Minutes for the Meeting on February 28th,  2020
Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)

The Meeting was called to order by  President Vic Pennetta, K2NBC at 8:01
PM.  This was followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then
by self-introductions of all those in attendance.

Meeting Minutes
The minutes from the January meeting were successfully e-mailed. A motion
was made by W2OIL and N2JUN to waive the reading of the minutes. The motion
passed unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer’s report as given by Dan KC2YRC.
Opening Balance - $    XXXX.02
Income -   50/50 - $XX (100% donated back by K2NBC),  Coffee Can $XX.00,
Member dues  $XXX.00
Deposit - $XXX.00
Regular Disbursements -  $XX.00 Bank Service Fee, $XX.48 Verizon Payment,
Party reimbursements (KC2YRC & W2OIL)  $XXX.00, QTH.com yearly donation
$XX.00
Closing Balance - $XXXX.54–  so we are $XXX.13 “ahead” compared  to last
year.
A motion was made by W2OIL and seconded by WA2SBS to accept the Treasurer's
Report. This was approved by the membership.

Correspondence
Ron WV2RJR sent his regrets, not able to attend meeting.

Technical Report
Everything is fine, nothing has changed. Len still looking into audio drop
out problem – looks like maybe a LINUX software problem, and perhaps some
incompatibility with the Raspberry Pi. Backup repeater ready to go, needs
to be installed at the hospital.

Old Business
Nomination Committee needs to find nominees. We will have two vacancies to
fill. Vice President and Secretary. Chris KC2PI hasn’t gotten any
volunteers. An e-mail will be sent.

New Business
Small discussion among members about Corona virus. Phil WD2NJC volunteered
to help with the Website.
Possible date for picnic discussed. Possible August 30th, 23rd, or 16th for
available dates.

Health and Welfare
Dave and Dan recently saw Don K2DSV – at the Abingdon rehab. He’s been
started back on chemo. Jean is homebound.

Misc.
Tim, K0ETH gave a tour of the University of Maryland nuclear facilities to
the commander of the USS Gerald Ford.

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by W2OIL and was seconded by N2JUN
The meeting was adjourned at 8:47 PM

50/50 - $32 was won by W2WK.
