*** Passaic ARES NET ***
The net will be held on the WO2X repeater EVERY MONDAY @ 2100 LOCAL (9PM).
Repeater information: 443.450 MHz (+5) PL Tone: 141.3 Hz
The purpose of the net is the training for Emergency Communications, conducting drills and discussing all other ARES topics. Special thanks to Dave (WO2X) for allowing the use of his repeater during the net. All amateur operators are welcome to join the net, especially those who live in Passaic county.

The September NNJ ARES NET is this Tuesday 9/12 @ 8PM on WS2Q/R 146.895(-)(PL 151.4 HZ)
After check-in and regular net business a digital message will be sent and all those with the capability are encouraged to receive it. Narrow Band Emergency Messaging Software (NBEMS) is an Open Source software suite that allows amateur radio operators to reliably send and receive data using nearly any computer, smartphone or tablet and any analog radio without requiring a dedicated digital infrastructure or specialized modem hardware.The message will take about 1 minute to be sent using mode MT63-2000 LONG. To decode the message you will need FLDIGI and FLMSG loaded on your compute device. Then it's just a matter of holding your radio speaker near the computers microphone.
