ETS of NJ Meeting minutes for 10-26-12

 -The meeting was called to Order at the Clark Municipal Building by Pres.
Joe W20ZO at approx. 8:00 PM.

-We started with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.

-A special video conference call took place between K2KGG located in
Singapore and members in attendance at the meeting. Discussed was linking
K2KGGs W2UHF 440 repeaters (Bedminster & Verona) to the K2ETS 146.940
repeater. All parties are on board to start the linking project. Call ended
at 8:25 PM.

-Minutes of the last meeting were not read. A motion to accept Septembers
minutes as emailed was made by N2VHV, Seconded by K2CPA. All in favor.

*Treasurer’s Report* - Victor, K2NBC stated that the current balance is
approx. $XXXX.41. An increase of $305.31 from last year.
Motion to accept treasurers report made by KD2KC,  seconded by N2VHV. All
in favor.

*Correspondence* – K2NBC received information on the 2012 Hudson Division
Award Winners Luncheon. Cost to attend is $50.00.

*Technical Report* –None discussed.

*Old Business*: None discussed.

*New Business*: N2VHV made a motion for the club to allocate up to $400 to
purchase a UHF radio to be used for linking the ETS VHF repeater to the
W2UHF repeaters. Seconded by KD2KC. All in favor.

The November & December meetings are combined, the next meeting will be
December 7th.

ETS will have the annual holiday pizza party at the December 7th meeting.
Meeting will start at 7:30PM.

W2WK spoke about the Piscataway Amateur Radio Club starting up again.

*Health and Welfare* – KD2KC mentioned he will be having a hip replacement
performed soon and will not be able to attend the next meeting. We all
wished him well.

*50/50* – Was won by K2NBC who donated his winnings back to the club.

A motion to adjourn was made by W2WIQ and seconded by N2VHV. The meeting
closed at 9:20PM.

There are 21 names on the sign-in sheet. 18 are club members.

2 are non-hams but interested in becoming hams.
