I addition to Jim's response - something I absolutely concur with, and I
still have my K2 - I am triggered by your "need to move around" comment.
One of the many mods on my K2 is a constant-audio output, something like
https://www.w8fgu.com/k2_fixedaudio.html.
Connected to that I have an audio-to-bluetooth converter, and said
converter is bluetooth-paired with a bluetooth-speaker. It allows me to
wander around the house and listen.
There are many audio-to-bluetooth adapters with different quality
characteristics. I am very happy with the Omnitronic WDT-5.0, though
websites seem to suggest it is out of production and suggests the
BDT-5.0 instead, which is cheaper but with which I do not have
experience with.
There are also other devices but I found quality issues with some of the
cheaper offerings on the usual websites. The Omnitronic has been fine in
that regard.
You should be aware that bluetooth audion connections like this incur an
audio latency. Which means they are perfectly fine to listen to QSO's
but do not attempt to use this for sidetone - neither CW nor speech -
because of this bluetooth latency. There are bluetooth protocol versions
that do not have this latency problem but I don't have equipment for
that and hence no experience with that.
As to the actual speaker used, you will find most "bluetooth music
speakers" to be able to do 300-3000Hz and that is all you need.
For listening to a net while doing domestic chores - the bluetooth thing
is pretty nice for that.
