I suspect that the internal tuner can only match to 2.4 during standalone operation 
because a short section of transmission line is missing. You could try inserting a 1-meter 
length of coaxial cable between the transceiver output and the existing end of the coax. 
If my hunch is correct, the internal tuner will then match to 1.0.
