Another case of overpriced, paying for a name. Better sound through 
marketing. NY9H can tell you about what he found inside the Heil mic 
that Elecraft sold him.

I've been a member of the Microphone Working Group of the Standards 
Committee of Audio Engineering Society for 30 years, and attended 
in-person meetings twice a year when I was still working. All the major 
mic mfrs sent someone. I never met anyone from Heil, despite their 
claims to making pro mics. Nor did I ever see anything from them on the 
Working Group's email reflector.
