I used to use a Zoom H4n Handy Recorder in USB interface mode, sending live
microphone output to a software mixer, then to the mike input of the KX3.
Sounded awesome. But the software mixer got too complex and I stepped back
to a simple hardware mixer. I have an inexpensive mike based on a Shure
connected via XLR. It sounds almost as good.
I need to find and dig out my Heil HM-10. That mike has great sound.
