[Elecraft] K2 interface to Win10 PC

I am having difficulty with my PC connecting to my K2.  I have checked the
serial cable and have its orientation as specified by Elecraft.  The cable
has no opens and is wired correctly.  I believe I have a software problem
and not a hardware issue.  I have my ports set as per Elecraft
recommendations and the PC will not recognize my K2.  I have been trying to
use Elecraft's remote program as well as HRD; both are not recognized.  I
have read through Elecraft threads on this issue and continue to have no
success.  I would like to get into digital work.  Any suggestions?  Thanks
