And the K3 includes bandpass filters for each band (and I think one that 
covers both 12 and 10M). I think I remember that the KX3 has a bit more 
phase noise, but keying is equivalent to the K3.

I attacked that issue, first by labeling both ends of everything, and 
then by first hooking everything up, and then bundling them with small 
Ty-Wraps (cable ties).

Other plusses for the KX3 -- a bit less current drain, important if 
you're running on batteries; and an excellent preamp, probably within a 
dB or so on 10M and 6M of a good GasFET. Also if on batteries, good 
quality batteries inside can do a lot to supplement outboard ones.

I've long viewed the KX3 and its support products as one of Wayne's 
smartest product offerings. At the time, I described it as "a home run."
