Hi Mike,

You mentioned that you jumped through
all the menu hoops to no avail.  Do you
know which version of firmware 2.04 you
have installed? (there will be a letter after
the 2.04, e.g. 2.04P or 2.04R).

If you have set the sidetone level to, say,
060 and the sidetone pitch to a value
between 500 and 600 Hz, you should
hear the sidetone in your headphones.
If you haven't done it already, try the
test of sidetone generator and audio amp
described on p. 47 of the manual.  The
SPOT switch should also activate the sidetone.

If these tests don't work, it's time to
probe with a scope and voltmeter.
