*** I have been fairly indulgent on tool purchases recently.  I have 
retired
my flea market binocular microscope in favor of a digital
camera/microscope with an 8 inch display.  No more craning my neck to 
get to *exactly*
the right spot to see in that little eyepiece.

    An XyTronic soldering iron - RF-actuated, just like a Metcal.  But 
without the Metcal
price.  This sucker heats up in about 10 seconds.
