While the Division Chief Engineer and an the obligatory cake and "Happy 
Birthday" in the conference room, each singing in his or her own key, I 
was presented with a framed notice:

"There comes a point in every project when one must shoot the Engineers 
and go into production."  I hung it over my desk.
